Neighbourhood Health Leader Joins Blinx Healthcare
Blinx Healthcare is delighted to welcome Dr Minal Bakhai as Deputy CEO and Chief Clinical & Strategy Officer.
Dr Bakhai is an exceptional clinical and systems leader, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale transformation across primary care and neighbourhood health. This includes leading digital transformation, total triage, modern general practice, and neighbourhood health initiatives that have catalysed and enabled action across the country.
As a practising GP, former National Director for Primary Care and Community Transformation, and Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme, Dr Bakhai has played a central role in reshaping how care is delivered: closer to home, more connected, more preventative, and more human.
Beyond leading programmes of change, Dr Bakhai has helped build a movement that brings together communities, organisations, leaders, and system partners around a shared mission – turning ambition into action.
The ability to create clarity, cohesion, and momentum across complexity is rare, and it is exactly what is needed now.
At Blinx, a sovereign UK healthcare technology company, we are building the digital infrastructure for neighbourhood health – designed to create coherence across the system and enable shared understanding, action, and accountability among system partners, centred around people and communities. Our goal is to support safer, more human, more holistic, value-based care. However, meaningful change does not come from technology alone; it comes from leadership that makes that coherence real in everyday practice.
Dr Bakhai brings that capability in depth. This experience sits at the intersection of frontline clinical care, national policy, digital expertise, and cross-system delivery – helping ensure Blinx is shaped not only as infrastructure that works technically, but as a trusted digital partner working collaboratively across NHS organisations, social care, local government, the VCFSE sector, and communities.
This is about more than another technology product. It is about creating the core digital infrastructure that enables better decisions, better delivery, and better experiences at scale.
At a time when pressures across health and social care continue to rise, and healthy life expectancy has fallen, Dr Bakhai’s appointment strengthens and accelerates our shared mission: helping turn neighbourhood health from strategy into delivery, and building digital infrastructure that works with people, not against them.
