PACO Expands: Now Live at TPP/SystmOne Practices

A Major Step Towards Integrated Neighbourhood Healthcare
Blinx Healthcare is excited to announce that PACO (Patient and Care Optimiser) is now live at its first TPP/SystmOne practice, marking a significant milestone in transforming primary care. This expansion enables interoperability between EMIS and TPP/SystmOne practices using PACO, supporting seamless collaboration across neighbourhood healthcare systems.
Transforming Care at Midlands Medical Partnership
By integrating with Midlands Medical Partnership (MMP), PACO is delivering streamlined workflows, enhanced online triage processes, and improved coordination across patient care – bringing the same benefits experienced by EMIS practices to TPP users.
Midlands Medical Partnership (MMP) is a partnership of 13 general practitioners delivering NHS GP services to over 68,000 patients through multiple practices and surgeries in Birmingham.

Dr Aqil Chaudary, GP Partner, Midlands Medical Partnership (MMP) said:
We are delighted to announce that we’ve chosen Blinx PACO as part of our efforts to enhance MMP patients’ experience. With its digital front door and robust features designed to support population health management and semi-automation, this platform is helping us better manage patient care and stay ahead of evolving healthcare needs.
Since going live, we’ve been proud to become the first TPP practice in the country to implement this innovative solution. In just over a week, patients have successfully submitted over 1,600 e-consult submissions, making their access experience smoother and more convenient .
The team at Blinx have a comprehensive support package, deploying a team to work alongside us to continually optimise the product and improve outcomes. We’re excited to see how this collaboration will continue to elevate the care we provide to our patients as we work to future-proof MMP’s digital infrastructure.
James Kite, Head of Deployment, Blinx Healthcare said:
I am proud to have led the initial deployment of Blinx PACO at MMP, officially making them the first TPP practice in the country to go live with our digital platform.
This is a significant step forward in transforming primary care; putting a powerful digital front door in place to enhance patient access, streamline practice workflows, and lay the groundwork for smarter population health management through intelligence-led automation.
In just over a week, patients have already submitted over 1,600 digital front door requests, showing the immediate value of giving people more convenient, digital-first ways to connect with their GP practice.
A massive credit to the MMP team for their proactive, collaborative approach—it’s been a privilege to work alongside such an innovative practice. Together, we’ve built a strong foundation for more efficient, data-driven, and responsive care.
I am excited for what’s next as we continue to innovate and optimise!

What This Means for Primary Care
This deployment marks a significant milestone in transforming primary care by bridging the gap between fragmented healthcare systems and unlocking new opportunities for primary care providers to leverage PACO. PACO is a single integrated solution that enhances connectivity, efficiency, and patient access and experience but what does the expansion to TPP mean for primary care.
Enabled Interoperability
Seamless collaboration between EMIS & TPP/SystmOne practices through one unified platform.
Better Patient Experience & Management
With better integrations, patients benefit from continuity of care, reducing the need to repeat their medical history at each care point.
Enhanced Data Insights
Unified insights supports population health management, helping to identify at-risk patients and proactively manage long-term conditions.
Efficient Workflows
Whether using TPP or EMIS’s clinical system, staff benefit from a consistent experience, reducing admin time and improving operational efficiency.
Improved Care Coordination
Better manage capacity and demand across localities enabling patients to receive timely and available care.
Seamless Patient Management
Patients can be triaged and referred across services without administrative delays.
PACO is strengthening neighbourhood-based care, creating a smarter, more connected healthcare system that empowers practices, improves patient outcomes, and makes interoperability easy.
Building Neighbourhood Health with PACO
At Blinx, we believe technology should enable—not hinder—better care. That’s why PACO is designed to address the challenges of fragmented healthcare systems. PACO is at the forefront of the NHS’s transformative shift towards neighbourhood and place-based care through digital infrastructure.
With PACO’s upcoming Out-of-Hours functionality, the vision for a fully integrated neighbourhood health ecosystem is becoming a reality. This would enable healthcare providers – whether in primary, urgent, or community care – to work together seamlessly. Patients will experience continuity of care, no matter the time of day or week, reinforcing the NHS’s long-term vision for Neighbourhood Health.
What’s Next?
With PACO successfully deployed at its first TPP/SystmOne practice, our primary focus is providing MMP with dedicated support throughout its transition to PACO while continuing to scale adoption across additional TPP/SystmOne practices. In the coming weeks, PACO will be implemented within a Primary Care Network (PCN) consisting of both TPP/SystmOne and EMIS clinical systems – bridging systems and enhancing collaboration for seamless neighbourhood care.
