Release Notes | v1.0.1 | 23rd Apr 2025

✨ New Feature

Brand-new tools and functionalities added to PACO to help you work more efficiently and deliver even better patient care.

Digital Front Door

Auto-Refresh for Inactive Screens:

We’ve added a new feature that helps keep things running smoothly if a screen is left open for too long without being used. If you stop using a screen for a while, the system will now check if you’re still there. It will give you a warning before it does anything. This helps keep your information safe, makes sure the system is accurate, and gives you a better experience.

What this means for you:

  • Helps keep your personal information safe

  • Makes sure you always see the most up-to-date screen

  • Stops the system from logging you out too soon by mistake

Rocketbar

Manual Reload Button in Rocketbar:

We’ve added a reload button to Rocketbar. If Rocketbar isn’t picking up your browser login, you can now refresh it yourself. This helps fix the issue quickly—no need to restart or reinstall anything.

What this means for you:

  • Fix login sync issues fast

  • No need to close or restart the app

  • Stay up and running with less hassle

🚀 Improvements

Enhancements to existing features, based on your feedback, to make PACO faster, smoother, and easier to use.

Digital Front Door Campaigns

Smarter Message Sending in DFD Campaigns:

We’ve improved how messages are sent in Digital Front Door campaigns. Before, the system tried to send messages by text and email—even if a patient didn’t have a phone number or email. Those messages would get stuck. Now, the system only sends messages if the right contact details are there.

What this means for you:

  • Reduction of “Pending” messages stuck

  • Patients only get messages in ways that work for them

Analytics

Patient Detail Reports Always Use “All Time”:

When you create Patient Detail reports from the Patient Analyser, they will now always be saved as “All Time” reports. This helps keep things clear and consistent when you look back at them later.

PACO

NACS (ODS) Codes Now Shown in Practice Dropdowns:

We’ve updated all practice dropdowns to show the NACS code (also called the ODS code) next to each practice name. This is the official NHS code for each site.

What this means for you:

  • Easier to find and choose the right practice

  • Clearer practice names with official NHS codes

  • Fewer mistakes when selecting practices

Health Forms

Total Health Form Score Now Saved as a Value:

The “Total Health Form Score” is now saved in the patient’s record as a value instead of text. This change makes the data more useful for reports and safer for clinical use.

What this means for you:

  • More accurate QOF and clinical reporting

  • Better support for data checks and analysis

  • Improved patient safety through clearer records

🛠️ Fixes

Resolved bugs and technical issues to ensure PACO runs reliably and as expected.

Quick Send

Clearer Warnings for Dynamic Field Errors in Quick Send:

We’ve updated the warning message in Quick Send to show the correct format for dynamic fields when there’s an error. This makes it easier to fix problems in your message templates.

What this means for you:

  • Easier to spot and fix mistakes in dynamic fields

  • Warnings now show the right format to follow

  • Helpful tip: Dynamic fields are case sensitive and must be in lower case. If the message looks fine, check for errors in other language versions of the template.

Booking Links

Booking Links Now Wait for All Slots to Load:

We fixed a problem where booking links in Quick Send didn’t always show EMIS slots. This happened if the message was sent before all slot types had finished loading. Now, messages will only send once everything is ready.

What this means for you:

  • Patients always see all booking options

  • No more missing EMIS slots in links

  • More reliable and complete messages

TPP (SystmOne)

Health Forms Now Show the Correct Status at TPP Sites:

We fixed a problem for TPP (SystmOne) sites where Health Forms were getting stuck in “Processing” and then marked as “Not Synced” — even though they were actually saved in the patient’s record. Now, the system shows the correct status.

What this means for you:

  • No more confusion about whether a form was saved

  • Inbox statuses are now accurate and up to date

  • Easier tracking of patient submissions
