Improvements

Enhancements that make PACO more intuitive and efficient - Your feedback in action

Scheduler

Clearer patient identifiers in the scheduler:

We’ve improved the banner at the top of the patient scheduler so it now shows the patient’s full name and NHS number, rather than just their first name. This banner is visible across the scheduler home screen, health forms, and appointment booking, giving you clear context at every step.

Previously, only the first name was displayed, which could cause uncertainty when working across multiple patients. Now, with key identifiers always visible, you can be confident you’re completing forms and booking appointments for the right patient.

What this means for you:

    • Patient’s full name and NHS number always visible while scheduling

    • Clearer context when completing forms or booking appointments

    • Reduced risk of errors when working across multiple patients

Appointment Book

"Today" shortcuts in Appointment Book:

We’ve added quick “Today/This week/This month” buttons to the Appointment Book. Wherever you’ve navigated to, a single click snaps you back to the current day, week or month without refreshing the page.

Previously, users had to scroll or step through dates to return to the present view, which was slow and easy to get wrong in busy clinics. The new shortcuts make it simple to re-centre on what’s happening now.

What this means for you:

    • Quicker navigation back to today, this week or this month with one click

    • Fewer mistakes from viewing or booking on the wrong date

    • Smoother experience with no unnecessary reloads or screen flicker

Health Form Inbox

Clearer sorting in Health Form inbox for Total Scores:

We’ve improved the way Health Forms are sorted in the inbox when using the “Total Score” column. Forms that do not have a calculated score (shown with a “-”) are now treated as having a score of “0” when sorting.

Previously, these forms appeared at the top of the list in ascending order, which caused confusion and made it seem as if they were higher priority than forms with low but valid scores. This update ensures the list better reflects clinical priorities and is easier to use.

What this means for you:

    • More accurate prioritisation when sorting by “Total Score”

    • No more misleading placement of unscored forms at the top of the list

    • A clearer, more consistent inbox view for clinical and admin staff

Fixes

Resolved bugs to keep PACO running seamlessly when it matters most.

Scheduler

Fixed Intermittent Timer Control Issue in Scheduler:

We’ve fixed an issue where users could continue to the next step if they left the Timer Control warning open and the time limit expired. Previously, the system would cancel the required step in the background (such as the completed Health Form) but still let the user move forward, which could result in incomplete workflows.

Now, once the timer expires and a step is cancelled, users will not be able to continue until the requirement is completed, ensuring safer and more consistent processes.

What this means for you:

    • Users can no longer bypass required steps after the timer expires

    • Clear feedback is shown when a step has expired or been cancelled

    • Reduces the risk of incomplete workflows and potential clinical issues

PACO Connect

Correct text colours in dark mode screens:

We’ve fixed an issue where text in some PACO Connect configuration screens was displaying in the wrong colour when using dark mode. The text was appearing in a light-mode style (black), which made it hard to read against the dark background.

Now, the correct dark mode text colours are applied consistently, ensuring screens remain clear and easy to read.

What this means for you:

    • Clearer text visibility when using PACO Connect in dark mode

    • A more consistent and accessible user experience

    • Reduced strain and errors caused by hard-to-read screens

Appointment Book

Consistent slot status between side panel and appointment book:

We’ve fixed an issue where the side panel and the appointment book were sometimes showing different slot statuses. Both now display the same status consistently, so you always see the correct outcome in both views.

Previously, the mismatch created uncertainty about slot availability and could cause confusion when managing appointments. This has now been resolved by aligning the logic used across both views.

What this means for you:

    • Clear and consistent slot status across side panel and appointment book

    • Reduced risk of booking errors caused by mismatched information

    • Greater confidence when managing and reviewing appointment slots

Care Navigation

Clearer display for long Care Navigation titles:

We’ve fixed an issue where very long titles used for Care Navigation buttons or campaign nodes would spill over and break the layout. Titles will now neatly shorten with “…” if they are too long.

This prevents the display from becoming cluttered or unreadable when long titles are used.

What this means for you:

    • Clearer, tidier display of Care Navigation buttons and nodes

    • No more broken layouts when titles are lengthy

    • Easier for staff and patients to navigate the system
